0

Shams Charania: Sacramento Kings All-Star guard De’Aaron Fox is finalizing an endorsement deal with Curry Brand, becoming the first NBA player to sign with Stephen Curry’s signature line at Under Armour, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium . Stephen Curry launched his signature, standalone venture with Under Armour in 2020, and now Curry Brand lands one of the league’s top point guards in De’Aaron Fox as its first endorsement contract signing.

Only some end-of-quarter spiciness involving Malik Monk, Kris Dunn, De’Aaron Fox, Collin Sexton, and Keyonte George salvaged some interest in what’s been an otherwise meh performance. – 10:54 PM

More on this storyline

“He’s been dynamite,” Brown said of Fox’s defense at practice ahead of the Kings’ second matchup against Golden State. “The level of consistency on (the defensive) end of the floor, doing what we’re trying to preach … The dude can’t get screened if he doesn’t want to, he’s that good. You couple that with the way he can be defensively and add that to his development offensively, man. (Fox) still has room to grow on both ends.” So, is the proverbial “next step” for Fox coming defensively? He averaged 25.0 points, 6.1 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game on a career-high 51.2 percentage shooting last season en route to winning the inaugural Jerry West Clutch Player of the Year award. By now, his offensive prowess shouldn’t be taking anyone by surprise. -via The Athletic / October 21, 2023
