Charles Barkley still chooses Michael Jordan as NBA GOAT

BARKLEY: At Duke, legendary, just a great person been a great friend all these years. So we would play cards all night. Me, Magic, Michael, Scottie Pippen and the guys who would play ping pong and we found there playing and Coach K’s daughter asked me, she says, Charles, can I go get some beers out of your room? And I’m like, sure. So I gave her my key. And I get back to my room and I said I look in a mini bar. It’s totally empty. First thing I say is Oh shit. I knew this going to end badly. So I get to practice the next day and Coach K starts walking toward me, I act like I’m working out. I run to the other end. He starts walking back toward me. I sprint to the other end like I’m actually working out. After about my fourth trip, he said, Charles, come over here. I need to talk to you. I said coach, I am so sorry. I said, Coach, she said she was gonna get a couple of beers, blah, blah, blah. She says, No, it’s not your fault. It’s her fault. So I guess his daughter was in bed with a hangover. Barkley’s question came during an “Inside the NBA” segment with Silver before the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers tipped off for the season opener. He brushed off a call to go to commercial break by saying he had a “serious” question for Silver.
