Giannis Antetokounmpo on Doc Rivers: 'It’s been incredible playing for him'
“I love him,” Antetokounmpo said. “It’s been incredible playing for him. He just explains to me what he wants from me. You respect him because he’s been 25 years in the league. The transition has been very, very hard. This is my fourth coach in [nine] months. … But I love how the things are going so far.”

When Malik Beasley took the floor in Minnesota, he realized something was different. He was warming up on the same end as the Bucks bench.
Why? The Bucks’ focus on the defensive end is absolute under Doc Rivers.

No high in sports compares to a championship. Doc Rivers hasn’t had that feeling in nearly 16 years, but the lure of another chance at an NBA title brought him to Milwaukee, where he’s trying to rescue the Bucks & restore his reputation as a winner. wapo.st/3IbuMBF – 9:32 AM

Coming out of All Star I had thoughts on MKE. Two wins on the road and there has clearly been a different level of engagement under Doc Rivers.
Lillard remains the key and forget the stats, he just looked far more aggressive in wins over MIN and PHI. We’ll see, but good signs. pic.twitter.com/zmmRZIAzMb – 3:25 PM

All season long, from the preseason to his exclusive interview with The Athletic earlier this week, Giannis Antetokounmpo has told anyone who would listen that the Bucks are going to be Lillard’s team down the stretch. That was exactly what happened as the Bucks closed out a clutch victory over the league’s best defensive team, handing Minnesota their sixth home loss of the season. “In my opinion, you gotta give the ball to your best players to operate and make something happen,” Antetokounmpo said on Friday. “Dame has the ball down the stretch. I have the ball down the stretch. I think we got some good shots. Dame got some good shots. I was able to get to the free throw line. I think Brook got a great 3 at the top of the key. Jae (Crowder) got a good one underneath. “Dame was able to operate, got his midrange, got some shots. We got some offensive rebounds. At the end of the day, you gotta give the ball to the best guys that can make something happen down the stretch.“ -via The Athletic / February 24, 2024
