Hmm not sure about that one but you never know. Piroe celebrated with Summerville after the pen. I think Farke would have sorted that out tbh if anything had have kicked off.

Smith’s signings have been a mixed bag, but not universally bad. I’m glad Ackers, Croft, McDonnell, Ruan, Hudson, Miller are at the club. Mom could grow on me.
If we make garbage signings next year there is no excuse and even my patience will go again.
I still say if we get that pack sorted once and for all, our back line is decent. There is better quality and breadth of young talent coming through now. I feel we have turned the corner, but we’re still behind where we should be. Читать дальше...

Just want to congratulate our nearest and dearest for reaching Wembley. Enjoy the day out lads and lasses and fingers crossed we cross each others paths next year.

Getting very much like the political landscape on here.

Shame because in amongst all the anger and frustration is some interesting stuff.
Good to see you back contributing Chris.

Interesting how self proclaimed pragmatists are the ones calling names like fools and idiots. We knew frawley would be a flop based on previous record , we knew fusitua would be injured for the same reason, Holroyd at 10 was always a huge risk because of his limited games through injuries. Get all ranty and shouty all yi like but that doesn't change what I'll stand by again that even accounting for and mitigation performances haven't demonstrated that Smith is taking the team forward. I think we've been here before... Читать дальше...

I think that's harsh on Vaughan. Vaughan just keeps delivering the performances that are way, way, ahead of our other props such as Musgrove and Philbin et al. Fizgibbon is also an excellent signing.
My pack 'stars' are
Vaughan
Harrison
Fizgibbon
Crowther

Tough choice between Hill or Cooper.
The option to play O'Neil at 13 after a break means we have a very mobile aggressive defender in the 2nd half and so takes a little pressure of potentially tiring forwards with Ellis also able to move up to prop. Whether that points to Hill, Cooper or even Walters playing I have no idea !
We do know that KR will try and move the ball around so we need our forwards to be mobile.
Main thing in the first half is to be excellent in contact... Читать дальше...
Well perhaps I’m in the minority but I’d rather it was its own event and if that means playing it at a smaller venue then so be it. I think it is disrespectful to the Championship clubs to play if at the end of the CC Final once all the other games have been played.
The 1895 competition lacks credibility as it is - with none of the semi finals being streamed or broadcast is amateur in this day and age. As I say.. I think the only worthwhile part of the competition was picking up some IMG points. Читать дальше...

Did anyone go to watch the Leeds/York game yesterday? Really entertaining, the standard has gone up loads over the last few years.

In the semis I'm hoping for a Hudds loss and HKR win.
We play Hudds away the week after the semi, and we play HKR away the week before the final. If it's like last year HKR will play their reserves. Fingers crossed.

If Leeds don't go up Meslier would be unsaleable at anything close a reasonable value.
I wonder if Sommerville already has a deal lined-up, he looks completely disinterested at the moment.
Good defensive display - midfield is a concern - neither Gruev nor Kamara looking anything close to their best.
Gnonto needs to grow up - he is looking like a sending off everytime he takes to the field.
Still a good result and a much improved performance.

In peles defence, the bulldogs wanted to Keep him and he asked for a release because he wanted to come over here and have regular game time. I think he’d excel in the right environment. Young, has a good attitude and just moved over the other side of the world into a poor side
Great if it happens and would be good if we could get him now. I feel we do need to strengthen in the centres

Signed on for another 2 years.
Testament to where he was and where he has now taken his game.
To be honest I thought Eseh and Hill were likely to replace him
and Cooper in the pecking order next year but fair play to him for earning a new deal, just hope he doesn’t get too comfortable now he has that security again.

A big weekend of Rugby League as the nation's sporting attentions are rightly diverted from Association Football (come on Arsenal ). as we make a short trip to WA9 to face Huddersfield whilst KR and Wigan head over to Donny for what should be two crackerjack Challenge Cup Semi Finals and a chance to walk out at Wembley.
Who'll be booking their sharrahs on Monday?
