Big Thief I'll be at, look 'em up, two excellent albums, selling out much bigger venues in London. Last chance in a small one.

Girl Ray and Jeff Lewis also on at H and H. Never remember it being a cool music venue as a kid living in Kings Heath before exile so looking forward to going.

Good one last night in London. Foxygen st St John Church in Hackney. Big space for an old church, three piece horn section, baroque'n'roll, glam,Stonesy swagger, Scott Walker, Meatloaf the Musical, rock pastiche. Made in LA. Bit of an arty hipster crowd, saw all sorts from Eno Roxy lookalikes to plain weirdos. As it should be. Only downside was when me and mate were having a good old moan about the support (Matt Maltese) - rated apparently In a Leonard Cohen misery kind of way - and a woman behind tapped me on the shoulder and introduced herself as his Mum. Whoops. Managed to talk her round
