Do the fortunes of our club mirror the fortunes of our city?

60s - boom town, club thrives
70s - up and down, club hits some high and low notes
80s - recession, club goes further down the pan
90s - city gradully improves, club starts to blossom
00s - Bullring opens, city starts to look better, club hits the Prem
10s - more recession/austerity, club hits the buffers

Fortunately, from the number of cranes in town at the moment, I see a physical and financial rebuilding that will see both the city and the club bloom in the next year or two.
