I was introduced to this fantastic club by my Dad and remember being pushed through the old turnstiles and then looking in wonderment at the surroundings of St Andrews with the heady aroma of stale beer, Bovril and farts polluting my nostrils. I then progressed to using the corregated fencing at the back of the Kop as a urinal.The night games were the best. I remember beating Chelsea 5-1 in the old second division then going home and watching the goals at the end of News at Ten. Also remember Colin Todd having a fight on Billy Bonds against West Ham. I would have paid just to watch the punch up!

I was hooked.
