Small Heath Alliance

Anybody else seen this?

Film about Arsenal's 1988-89 final game of the season win at Anfield to seal the Division One title.

I vaguely remember it at the time, emotions high as only weeks after Hillsborough & it was a rare live match on ITV. A Friday night i think. "its up for grabs now" was the famous commentary line as Michael Thomas broke through the Liverpool defence.

Excellent film. highly recommended for all football fans and something that will never be repeated again. Читать дальше...

What a pathetic showing from Anderson&Broad in the Aussies second innings. They ran around like a couple of puppies in the park,no meaningful bouncers,Yorkers or any sort of aggression.
The other "bowlers"we're very poor and totally inafective.
I fear a 5-0 whitewash...again.

We'll done to Blues and our fabulous away fans, sometimes our club do not deserve these top people KRO

Can anybody confirm whether you are allowed to take a smaller cabin bag as well as the normal 10kg one these days? I’m sure I read that they had recently stopped it.

Not that what they say and what they do on the day are the same thing, I know. Hate them with a passion, but needs must.

TIA.

Re: 89

Small Heath Alliance

Watched it in a bar in Glasgow ( Fri night )
We were up there for 3 days for the Scotland England game which was at Hamden the day after.
Treble celebration .... wanted Arsenal to beat the Scousers , England beat the Jocky McSpokkys and .....B)

BTW Steve Bull scored for England .....and me ;)

Their goal......Jota & Morrison (17 replies)

Just seen their goal on the telly

I assume that Clarke would've been Morrisons responsibility to mark but he was nowhere near him and check Jota out...he was around 10 yards to Clarke's right, ambling around marking no one
Ffs, he is their leading goalscorer so I'm sure they must've been told do not let him have time on the ball at all costs...He had an age to line up
And don't start me on Morrison turning his back when the shot came in

That said, it's a point away... Читать дальше...

If fit who would put him in for the Wolves game? Personally not his biggest fan but this is one of the games he always seems to have a massively above average performance.
