Re: Marc Roberts
Yet all the ITKers said he was the best central defender in the league?

I agree with the honourable Mr Nesbitt.
I'd much rather the manager was out on the training pitch with the players this morning instead of cosying up to the local media.

I thought he looked distinctly average. Ripped off for £3.5m in my opinion.
Feck the talking. I want to see results on the pitch through training ground work. You lot obsessed with interviews, phone ins and radio commentary can get fecked in cases like yourself . You just can't be arsed to go.

Is there going to be an interview with Cotterill?
It will be interesting to hear this thoughts on Saturday and how we move forward. TBF he's probably thinking "brilliant, it can't get any worse".
He's probably got them all stripped bollock nekkid at wast hills, doing drills ready to spray them down with an ice-cold fire hose for anyone who looks off the pace ... Carsley next to him with a paintball gun as well.
We can have a couple of meerkats getting their heads up looking for a pass, that isn’t the issue
The real problem is we have players who are not showing off the ball.
Certainly when you look up and are greeted by half a dozen statues, the options to play football are massively reduced.
It makes the task of covering by the opposition defenders and midfielders so much easier too.
It comes from seasons playing with Gleeson obviously
Roberts has been poor, he has been no where near as good as Shotton which makes the bit of business to buy him seem a bad one.
He was shown up at home against Crawley by Matt Harrold in the EFL cup which rang alarm bells. He has loads of time to improve but he has been a step down from what we had.
He is beaten in the air time and time again. Not good enough.

Why? I find that a bit weird, sure he hasn't done well since he returned but there's never been a lack of effort.
Class I'll show that to my vile work colleagues. Smug Vile F@&k wits. kro...

I have read the posts here and see that cotterill is advised to take the lads to Marbella for example and get them fit!!!! Jeez...why reward them? I recall after one dismal show that Gil Merrick took his players to the lickeys and ran them ragged for a week.....Freddie Goodwin took them to Cannock chase and ran them silly...Joe Mallet took them to the sports centre at lilleshall,(vice versa the last two) but now its take em to holiday???? The lickeys are near,,no parking,get... Читать дальше...
Agreed. Not sure who I would rather drop out of Morrison or Dean though.
I'd have dropped Morro for him after Norwich game
Apart from the second goal at Burton (Which by Harry's admission was due to him playing in an unfamiliar position), I thought he looked good up until then and off the top of my head, this is the only mistake I remember him making.
For the £3.5mil we paid, surely we should be utilising him better.
I'd bring him in for the Cardiff game.

We already have a player like this. The lad from Everton, Walsh... He needs to be given a run of games as he has more ability than any of the Blues Midfielders. At such a young age he will make mistakes but he cant be any worse than what we've seen most of the season surely

That's not the point though is it? It's absolutely terrible management and planning that Spike is attempting to highlight.
How about A, B and C. kro
There is a team in there, you just have to accept you can't go through centre midfield right now so I imagine we'll end up a being bit more direct (I hope Cotterill can get this past our "beautiful football" board though). Vassel's pace (especially if Juke/Gallagher can flick on) might end up being our main way of dragging us up the field. Jota & Boga obviously have skill so they can help if we can just get them the ball.
I would imagine Cotterill is already looking at who we can get... Читать дальше...
Brilliant news. Some nice new handbags and fur coats on the way for Darren Dein's missus

Just read apparently there was a bust up between carsley and Gardner on the coach ?
It's a team of players that aren't getting on at all.
Agreed.
We look sluggish on Saturday and second to every ball - it's going to be a long season.
