Us older uns remember them qualifying for the Argentina World Cup in 78 when England failed.
They were arrogant and obnoxious at the time. They even took a player called Derek Johnstone with his leg in plaster claiming that he'd be ready for the quarter final(!). Peru tore them a new one in the first game. Then had Willie Johnston testing positive for a banned substance.
We didn't laugh at this terrible misfortune at all, did we......?

I met Bobby once while at his Summer School in Macclesfield. He complimented one of my shots. He also asked what side played at St Andrews as if that was likely to trip me up.
Not big on spirits these days but recently had a nip of some Southern Comfort, which I used to drink as a chaser back in the day. Sweet, but mellow. Had a few more since.
