Yes the Suddeutsche Zeitung is essentially a national paper. That's becatse in Germany, Munich matters. I love Brum but it has almost zero impact on the UK national stage. We need to up our game. Get big companies here. Get graduates to stay on here. Make Blues a top six prem club.
I would imagine from the title that it's designed to be a bit more far-reaching in terms of population than one city - would that be a fair assumption? A sort of meg-Yorkshire Post v Bradford Telegraph and Argus?
Incidentally, I agree the Birmingham Mail is poor - it was never as good as, say, the Express and Star or the Manchester Evening News in their respective heydays.

Sounds crazy now however, Vimto use to be a regional drink and wasn't sold down south. My mate at college steadfastly refused to believe that any drink was sold under brand name that is an anagram of "vomit". I had to take some to London post a visit home to prove to him it was areal drink.
