A couple of weeks ago in the aftermath of the Villa defeat, I suggested on this very forum that players need to start taking responsibility for their actions on the pitch and that if they [in that case Elmohamady] wanted to excessively goad a section of the fans - especially their rivals - they shouldn't be surprised if it comes back to bite them on the arse when they're away from the safety of the football pitch.
