Pick a player based on their performances for us opposed to how well they were for another club.
Personally, I would pick Kevin Phillips as he would provide a large amount of goals for us (which is what we need) and would be very exciting alongside Juke or Gimenez.

Getting pelters from Newcastle fans this morning, and I don't blame them.
BBC article is saying he is a "free agent". I accept they might be wrong but it is saying his contract cancelled by mutual consent. This means he is without a football playing contract, which would also suggest he is a free agent.
I think it might have been more of an issue if he had played any games for them but he didn't.

Agree - although Winks wasn't great vs Arsenal.
Guardiola says Foden will learn more at City than he would on loan and it's hard to disagree. Read a piece on The Athletic the other day about how Silva has taken it upon himself as a mission to be Foden's guardian and works with him closely every day to improve him.
