Small Heath Alliance

Who remembers it? Huge open terraces, I think the record attendance was in the 70000s....

They are playing the brew house in November, think I will get tickets, like the shadows.

Thirty nine quid... (9 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Is what Albion fans are being asked to stump up for their away game at Leeds on 1st October - even though it's live on Sky! That's nine quid more than the Premier League maximum which is capped at thirty quid for away fans.

You are dead right, but that just won't happen and clubs like Leeds and Derby and their grabbing owners, know it.

Re: Lazer eye surgery

2 Experiences.
1) Mine - had both eyes done privately (1 month apart) due to cataracts - NHS won't pay until you are effectively blind :(. Absolutely no problems with the OP, no pain or discomfort, but it didn't fix all the issues - had to go back for some supplemental light sabre work, and this was fine also.

2) My mate - utter disaster from Optical Express, eyesight ended up worse than before and they couldn't give a fook. Tried to get a refund, no dice - read the T&C's they said. Читать дальше...

JustPark / RentMyDrive (10 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Anyone doing this?

You list your drive space on the JustPark app and you can rent it out for a period of time whilst someone sods off to ibiza or goes to watch a gig. Especially good if you live by an airport, trainstation or an arena / NEC...which i do.
Apparently people book online, pay, turn up, park car, jump in a 2 minute taxi to the airport safe in the knowledge they're paying less and their car isn't left at the airport.

I looked on the map and there's a few doing... Читать дальше...

DES

I think its a great idea, I recall back in 1987 I think it was going to Edgbaston ashes test, pulled into cannon hill rd which of course was packed from end to end with parked cars, I saw a little old lady sweeping her drive (her house actually backed onto the nets) and jumped out and asked her if I could park on her drive if I gave her a fiver!
She said I don't want your money son!!(it was 30+yrs ago) just drive it on.
When I went back I insisted she had the money as I was floating... Читать дальше...

Re: POPLA Parking Appeals

The company has paid it

You're struggling with evidence in support of your appeal

Life is short

Let it go.

POPLA Parking Appeals

Small Heath Alliance

Parking at the Embankment pub in Nottingham when we played Forest away, attendants on the entrance charging £5 for match day parking, paid it, parked, went the game job done.

Had a parking fine through, saying I didn't enter my reg in the pub (nobody told me I needed to, didn't go in the pub as was a home pub and went Notts Country for a beer) - As I have a company car, it's gone to them and they've paid it (+£15 admin fee, so £75!).

I appealed to Parking Eye, who run the ANPR at the car park, and they rejected it somehow!

How far away is Sam Hain?
I know he struggled in red ball cricket a bit, but seems to have had a decent season.
Always performs for the Lions. I'd be surprised if he doesn't tour this winter.

And people wonder why we want to see him.

Because he anecdotally did well against some u23?
Yes.

Playing in a position where we’re massively short helps too.

It’s harder than it looks, same with throwing knives ????

Django Reinhardt was once on tour and found himself in Plymouth. The band went to a pub with their support act, who introduced the gypsy Django to the game of darts. He couldn't get the hang of throwing the darts, so whipped out his knife and started throwing with that instead. He won the game and everyone made a mental note never to upset old Django in future...
