Your idea about ending the current season in November and restarting in line for the 2022 World Cup is a very good one ????????
However I don’t agree with this changing football forever, if anything it’ll make us want it more as we will have been starved of it for so long. Football is still growing worldwide.
The impact this may have on the lower league clubs who can’t survive without matchday income is where football will be seriously affected.
The local rivalry thing is a good point and one that I get. Not sure about the Premier League (in its current form at least) but I have to confess that I know absolutely nothing about the NFL. I suppose that I had better have a look!

I wouldn't argue with at all. Yes, in the short term (at least) then profits will be down in many businesses and cash flow will be hit, as it has been already and very visibly in the sports, entertainment and leisure sectors. I genuinely have no Idea how it's going to play out in the long term, economically speaking.

Goal average is goal scored divided by goals conceded. This gives greater emphasis to goals conceded.
