Not exactly spoilt for choice for pre-match tot these days but remember at one time pub on every corner on Cov Road & down Digbeth.

Any good memories about the lost hostelries from Brewer & Baker to The Wrexham - gaffers, pub characters, lock-in’s etc?

mike, what I can't quite work out is if you get a choice of priority access, or do you just get priority access until you use your credit?

I think me and my gang are going to go for next year's T20 finals day. It's a bit mental, but it's a good day.

Bluubalders

I’m another one who doesn’t get this obsession some of our so called fans have with slagging off our own players who have been nothing but good professionals for us.
DD gives his all every game - his fitness, energy, honesty and commitment have served us well over a number of years.
I have never seen a single story or suggestion that he has ever been anything other than top class in his attitude or professionalism.
He is not the most talented footballer to have worn our shirt... Читать дальше...

Sticking with it as a mindset will help. I’ve no experience of anybody diagnosed with bipolar, but my old man suffered with anxiety, depression and ultimately psychotic breakdowns.
To cut advice short Id say enjoy the good times, and during bad times, however difficult and close to breaking point you may and at times will feel, stick by them and look forward to those good times that will return.
All the best to both of you mate

Re: Championship clubs raise concerns over restart

The ending of player contracts on 30 June is going to result in unbalanced squads as the Barnsley chairman points out particularly for those clubs having to terminate them for financial reasons.
This is going to be a legal minefield as some clubs will be complaining that the teams competing from 1 July will be different to those registered for the 2019/2020 season.

Best cricketer you ever saw live (9 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Not your personal favourite but the best in absolute terms.

For me, despite seeing all the greats of the modern era (Tendulkar, Lara, Warne, Ponting, Akram, Waqar, Kallis, etc), the best is still Viv Richards.

I went to Eldine Baptiste's testimonial at St Austell a number of years ago. He'd been playing club cricket for them after retiring. So a St Austell Select XI played the WI test side. The likes of Richards, Greenidge, Hooper, Walsh, Logie etc all played. They had this young lad play too - a talented left hander - yep is was a young Brian Lara.
