Birmingham City are looking for a new boss after Pep Clotet decided to step down at the end of the season

Carsley would certainly be popular with the fans but is it maybe best for him to be assistant to someone more experienced with a view to becoming permanent after a period?
I have a couple of old Uni buddies from Hudds.
I think the big thing was the lack of infrastructure that was ready for the top flight. On the pitch, they were outstanding in their promotion season. Shite, ever since.
And as you say, it looks like back to back relegations and they'll hang around their REAL level for another 40 years or so
Turned over 3-1 by Forest today and looking increasingly on course for back to back relegations.
No doubt desperate to get to visitor friendly St Andrews where they know they'll be guaranteed a warm and generous reception!
Take all 3 of those strikers, especially Forestieri who is a class act at this level (no idea what his wages will be)
If only we had a manager who could start making the approaches. Another reason why it's pointless persevering with Clotet, we need to get the new guy is asap.
peejay
I think we'll need a win and a draw to be safe.
On paper wednesday's game looks our easiest but so did yesterday's.
Bad result for Huddersfield today but you just know they'll turn us over.
At one point yesterday things were looking a bit tricky for us looking downwards. It still didn’t turn out a great day with lots of teams below us winning, and with a number of them showing an unlikely run of form either side of lockdown.
Not losing yesterday was really important.
We SHOULD, of course be OK, but, this is Blues - we’ve all seen us snatch disaster from nowhere too many times????
This season might take one of the highest totals ever to stay up. Looking at the last 10 years or so mid-40’s has usually been enough. Читать дальше...

Birmingham City are looking for their sixth permanent boss in three-and-a-half years and reports claim they are interested in this man

Next to no chance of Robins moving from StAns to Waste Hills. Dong could offer him all the tea in China, and he still wouldn’t come. He jumped ship once before, and learnt his lesson.
Is there a gallery anywhere? I can't find the one I need to find in the three photos they posted on Twitter/Insta yesterday.
Birmingham City managed to grab a point from their home match with relegation threatened Hull - but both managers feel their side should have won

I think it’s the zola effect that has put lots of folk off changing away from basic 4 4 2, remember he took over a team in sixth? ( three points off third) and took us head first for certain relegation, adding players along the way all worse than incumbents and never once tried to ally himself with the fans!
It was as if he had came in to teach us thickos what modern day football was all about!
That’s my take on it anyway.

This is another weird tactic that is being employed this year.
Even when there are no fans in the stadium.
First few times I thought the opposition must have won the toss but it happens too often for that now.
Aubamayang playing wide left.
Owners with no consistent plan.
So many calling vile a huge club and spawny.
Blues fans who say we're a poor team/squad.
Us appointing managers who must think they've won the lottery
Or when they’re just agreeing that the keeper played a blinder.
His role is to do the running, tackling and breaking up play to allow our attacking players more freedom.
He has his limitations, but in certain games, a player like Kieftebeld is essential.
The argument could be made that playing Hull, a defensive midfielder isn't needed.
But was he at fault for the free headers today?
Great squad player for us.
