I feel for the genuine fans of clubs like Liverpool and Man Utd but honestly at this point f**k 'em; let them go. It is an incredibly risky manoeuvre joining a no-relegation league that could leave clubs like Man Utd playing out the majority of their season as pointless matches. And don't even get me started on the likes of Tottenham - trophyless since 2008's league cup - thinking they are a big club.

Glad to see this reopening after so many years. The refurb looks amazing...I just hope it does well. Maybe Dong should do his transfer business in the penthouse suite...might impress a few potential players who are undecided.

Remember morning after Xmas do there many years ago waking up next to large and very impressive Xmas bauble (not a euphemism).

In fit of remorse, took it back on the lunchtime and bloke on desk told me it was from top of their tree which must have been 15 foot high! God knows how had managed to swipe it.

If I’m not still barred wouldn’t mind popping in as looks very tidy.

Dinosaur mentality. Watch Moneyball
Have watched moneyball. Its great. XG however has nothing to do with moneyball. It takes into account the shots you take, from where, and where you hit them. It doesn't take into account the chances you concede or the fact you might have a donkey up front.

Just playing 'do you remember when...'

FA Cup 6th round (quarter finals) March 1972 Blues (Div 2) v Huddersfield Town (Div 1)

We were on a good cup run with crowds of 35k+. Drawn at home it was an all ticket match. We lived in Oxford then but Dad managed to get two of the 52, 500 tickets. We drove up me driving at 17 and a half as Dad didn't drive, had sandwiches and coffee in the Vauxhall Victor estate and then onto the Kop. Looks like that was the third year (out of five) that there was a third/fourth play-off match for the losing semi finalists. We beat Stoke at St Andrews on pens - the first time that was used to settle a match in the FA Cup.
