Merry Christmas (no replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Evening fellow bluenoses,

I know it's a few days early but I just wanted to wish you and all loved ones a very merry christmas ????

It's been a weird/crap year for us all, some (like me) dont like Christmas but let's enjoy the next few days, relaxing, getting p!ssed and making the best we can from a rubbish situation we find ourselves in.

Here's hoping for a better 2021!

Stay strong and Keep Right On ????

When do you finish for Christmas? (24 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

I’m working today, hoping to crack on and get to the end of a job I’m on.

Then a quick one hour our so job lined up tomorrow and I’m done.

Gone are the days I could have then gone to the pub, but it’s been a funny year......

You?

"When do you finish for Christmas?"

Two years ago :-)

Same here and not going back ever????
Well mine was forced on me by mental health issues (now virtually sorted) but i've learned to cope and adapt and get a little bit of income working from home and i get by okay. I was a little annoyed by the fact that when i was ready to go back to earning then covid all kicked in but now with a few things going on i wonder if the extra i'd earn by going back contracting... Maybe pro's are over trained if anything? think of the human body like a car, even a 5 year old car with too many miles on the clock will be buggered. I'd have thought a pro who's come up through an academy will have played many more games, run many more miles and had more wear and tear on his body than someone just training a few nights midweek and holding down a normal job for a few years.
Rooney was another - dynamite as a 16 year old, pretty much burnt out by 29/30.

Yeah and English people who have an Old Firm club. Yuck.

Not quite getting this hipster thing. So far i’ve got a beatnik-type person with a top knot who probably runs a cafe, and plays football manager on his ‘device’ when he isn’t learning the chant ‘iron Union’ in German and campaigning against the digging up of peat bogs.

Is that right? Are beards still compulsory?
Yes 100% in fact beards twirled into two separate ringlets are now essential! Читать дальше...

I'm 32 and have been a regular (aside from a few years at uni) since I could walk and Roberts is comfortably my least favourite Blues player ever, whoever decided to spend £3M plus on a 4 year deal worth over £20k a week needs their head looking at.

i'm sure hes a decent bloke but as a footballer he infuriates me

its matt sadler levels of seethe
We never spunked a fraction of the cash on Mat Sadler that we've spunked on Roberts

Spa day recommendations (8 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

I'd like to arrange a quality Spa Day for my 2 wonderful daughters for a date later in 2021,
hopefully when restrictions have been lifted.
Ideally within a 50 mile radius of Solihull.
Ideas please ?

Did I miss this?

Liverpool have had a bid accepted by Birmingham City for the England youth international Calum Scanlon.

Heck of a turnaround from where he was, but good luck to him I say. Goes to show that nearly anybody who has ended up railing on the wrong tracks at soke point can turn their life around and contribute to society in the future.

Leccy cars (7 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Anyone on here got one?
I'm seriously thinking about it, mainly do local stuff but around 5 long trips a year to various bits of UK, Western Isles, Brum, Ireland, Wales, Yorkshire - between 700 and 1200 miles.
Previously had large SUV, crossovers, saloons, estates mainly diesel, but now really only need to take the grandkids about and our family visits.

Suggestions? and no I can't afford a Tesla.

I have the kia e-niro, excellent range (240 real world miles) and good space for kids (i have 2) so would definitely recommend that. Height of a mini suv too.
