I'd always thought the answer to the above question was Carl Francis.
I remember the excitement at Old Trafford on the opening day of the 1982/3 season when it was announced that Francis was playing. It soon faded, it wasn't Trevor and we lost 3-0 and we were lucky it was just 3. Typical Blues. Carl Francis played 5 more times in total for us that season. We also had Michael Sturridge around the start of the 1980s. I don't believe he ever played in a first class fixture for the first team, although I'm sure I remember seeing him once in a game at St Andrew's. I can only think it might have been the friendly against Tampa Bay Rowdies (drew 0-0) in September 1980, or possibly Joe Gallagher's testimonial against vile in May 1981 (lost 3-6).

Yeah that's what should happen. It doesn't though. Another example of laws being ollowed by officials. The 6 second rule for keepers and a 10 second rule on throw ins once the nearest outfield player to where the ball went out has been given the ball, and for goal kicks would change the game for the better immediately

The Weakest Bowling attack I've seen for a VERY long time.
Our attack is very predictable. When the ball does not seam or swing we are toothless. We need some express and a top class spinner.

Has anyone mentioned kuszczak? I thought he was brilliant, especially considering some of the defences he had to play behind. I also can’t mention him without talking about THAT save vs Derby. Still probably the best save I’ve ever seen in person.

My wife and I are both retired so our main form of recreation now is golf. Have done Nefyn ( playing the 9 holes on the peninsula is fabulous ( inc stopping for a pint at the Ty Coch Inn on the way round - just call the games behind through ???? ). Aberdovey & Prestatyn are also good courses in the area.
