I think that's the trap people fell into by predicting the MLS would fail.
Cricket(or rather the T20 version of which I'm no particular great fan of) just like football 25 years ago doesn't have to compete with another sport for ratings with big networks anymore. That's all gone to an extent but also even if you are the 9th or 10th sports or in cricket's case the 19th or 20th, that's still huge in a country with a population the size of Europe and with growing sub-continent diaspora... That is what I keep asking myself about both of these bids and more generally why anyone would entertain buying us irrespective of the current ownership structure.
Unless you are mega rich to begin with Bassini and I would guess most consortium bids will need to borrow money to fund both the purchase and underwrite the day to day expenditure. Bassini admitted in his car crash interview he was hocking his personal assets and borrowing on top.

I have family that live just off the i45 north of Houston (Conroe) and both Houston and Dallas have been chosen as venues.
Relieved to see that Vegas is not one, although the most logical and best option for fans with more rooms and facilities than the other cities it would have been over priced so it can now be used as a base along with staying at Bro and sis in laws place should I go to a game in Houston or Dallas.
