Pre season Cheltenham tickets (7 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Not sure when Blues will have them on sale but home fans £12 advance and £14 on gate.

They play Baggies just before us Tuesday 18th and Bristol City just after us on Tuesday 25th.

Just had the info above from an Everton fan (I did check as he aint always the most reliable) who has bought tickets to all 3 games and asked me If I will be there for the Blues game. I might even pop over for one of the other games as well as only a few mins away and not much else going on.

Re: Move to the NEC

Major train station and road network more so than the airport. Lots of parking and facilities already in the area and I’d expect a much better all round match day experience.

Much more scope/space for increased commercial revenue, if that’s the way they’re thinking.

Very much in a core Blues area.

Will he find his way out of the Jamie Clapham Memorial cupboard this season?

Re: Longelo

He's most likely going to be a backup to whichever loan we'll bring in this season.

Move to wheels (60 replies)

No explanations, a simple yes or no. Would you like us to move to wheels?

Yes from me.

Underwater camera

Small Heath Alliance

Can anyone recommend an underwater camera suitable for snorkelling please? . My budget won't stretch to a GoPro. I was thinking more of an amazon or curry's purchase. Plenty out there but I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations.
I tried the phone in a waterproof pouch last year.... with predictably disastrous results.

Many thanks.

The Pistols (26 replies)

Came at just the right time to excite kids and unite them. Revolutionised the music industry for a while. Malcolm Maclaren took the piss and none of the band made any real money and it had a tragic ending. Im still excited anytime I hear the intro to Anarchy,

Matlock chose to leave

That's what he says but isn't it commonly acknowledged that Matlock was derided by the band (certainly by Lydon)? Whether it be liking The Beatles (Maclaren), always washing his feet (Jones) or wanting to turn the band into the Bay City Rollers (Lydon), Matlock was the butt of their jokes. Even if he did leave on his terms, I doubt any of them lost any sleep over it. Irrespective of whether he could play or not, Sid was always the better fit when it came to image. Читать дальше...

Rags

Macca was brilliant last year.

Oh come on ... his voice was cracked, weak, out of tune and the self-indulgent masturbatory inter-song twaddle was an embarrassment.

Elton John (and i'm far from a fan) has just come on and given the crowd exactly what they want ... all the hits ... with zest and energy without disappearing up himself.
Take note, Turner..

Can’t wait until he’s sacked as everyone is in football.

Explain why no one else wanted Jobe you arse kissing toad.

Cos of his money grubbing parents.
I think that given what happened with Jude that final comment is very unfair.
I'd go further, it's a totally ridiculous thing to say. His Dad may have been out of order with Jobe and us, but money grubbing is a outrageous claim. He's having a bad day. Читать дальше...

Stephen Clemence (17 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Big interview with him in the paper today. Here’s what he said about us…..

“ Leeds were on the radar. But Steve [Bruce, the manager at the time] sold Birmingham to me, told me I was going to be a regular, and it was the happiest time in my career,” he says. “The group of players were fantastic, the best spirit I’ve ever experienced: Geoff Horsfield, Matthew Upson, Kenny Cunningham, Stan Lazaridis, Damien Johnson and Robbie Savage. Christophe Dugarry signed in the same window: what a bloke he was. Читать дальше...

Re: Stephen Clemence

Boys boys boys.

Christophe was a Rolls Royce amongst players and was imho technically better than Worthington and Kendall by some distance.

But in my 58 years down the Blues no one has come near the peerless Sir Trevor and I doubt ever will.
