Shorn Dyke?
Hallowe'en has come and gone but the nightmare continues for Blues it seems. Earlier in the week Will called and offered me a lift up to Birmingham for the game as he was taking little Will and meeting three mates from work who happen to be Ipswich fans. It certainly Read More

I know he's gone. Forget him. But. Scoring against the scouse. Well done my beautiful hairy blues prince.
I'm quite impressed with the description of Arteta as "arsebiscuit" on another thread. This could be a rich seam. Klopp? Wunderchunt? Howe?

It seems they won't get a fraction of the suffering that we had to endure????
I'll be gutted, I want some suffering.
2-0 up at half time against Reading.
quicksand
That’s what happens when you start doing well, near the top of the table. Look at Newcastle yesterday. There’s a still image of the ball out of play yesterday, yet VAR gave it? If that were Newcastle under Bruce, near the bottom, doubt it would have been given.

Was Eustace’s regime poorly conditioning the players?
Is it that Eustace-ball was less intensive so took less conditioning prep?
Is Wayne over playing it?
What’s the deal yo?

Fitness isn’t a completely homogenous thing. I think the team was actually pretty fit under Eustace but we were playing a low to mid block and then attacking on the counter, which means people are having to hit peak exertion periodically on the counter.
A high press probably necessitates being at 80% of peak heart rate for the majority of the game. It’s a slightly different energy system.
Forest 1 up ????
How the hell did he give a foul on Kamara there though?
Awoniyi had a one on one to put them 2 up.
I wondered if we could go for Karl Darlow on loan from Leeds. He's not 100% like the new fangled keepers but he's better than what we have currently with the ball, this is going off the fact he was on loan at Hull last season and did well, Rosenior wanted to sign him but he was too expensive. Obviously Hull have been earmarked as the model team for keepers dictating play so that's a good sign.
Plus he's from the midlands, and his granddad played for Blues and scored in the cup final over villa. Читать дальше...
Its appears Rooney dispensed with 4-3-3 yesterday. I am not sure if the shape was 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. PLaying 2 in central midfield though suited us much more. I hope Rooney has abandoned 4-3-3 at least for the rest of the season.
Blackburn are putting our all out defensive display at Norwich in context.

Bizarre to read on facebook some Blues having a go at the fans that didn't turn up when they showed some spare seats in Tilton.
21000 is decent for time of year and circumstances.
Lets build on that, decent 70 minutes turning into decent 90 minutes will get us up to 24000 (if capacity allows) easy
Surprised there hasn’t been more comment about Sunjic being in the team and Bielik not - as Bielik has been thought of as one of our most important players. What do people think?
He’s a player more suited with the team playing deep possibly? I think he’s a neat player who looks after the ball without being a particularly ‘progressive’ passer - but I do think he doesn’t hunt the ball as energetically and maybe moves it a bit slowly? One of the key things we need to improve is the pace we move the ball at.
Nigh-on 21000 pretty decent I think given
* we're still not 'fully open',
* lost 3 on the spin, nobody was expecting anything other than a defeat
* higher ticket prices
* "Meh" opposition
* Effing atrocious weather
* Recent Rooney controversy
* A decade of averaging c.16-18000
Shows things are on the up despite recent blips IMO.
What was going on there? We missed the first few minutes of the game because it was taking them a ridiculously long time to get everyone through the turnstiles. I'd imagine plenty in the queue behind missed the first goal.
Also doesn't help when you have only two or three turnstiles open and six or seven clowns outside in hi viz jackets doing nothing with three more hiding behind the gates.
Technology ? It's crca 1950's !
Took me 20 minutes to get in , I arrived at 14:45
