Quite an amusing interview with him after Fridays game saying all his mates will be ignoring him after his goals even his grandad who along with his family and friends are all bluenoses normally texts him after a game didn't on this occasion. I know he played for "them" but his loyalties are firmly on the blue side of brum.
I think it earnt a bit of money for a good cause from a post I remember seeing.

One of the things I read about him, a lot, was how good is he with players…empathetic and emotionally intelligent. Maybe those writers were overstating the case, maybe we fans, don’t really have any idea about how happy or unhappy the squad is.
He’s said he wants players to feel free to take risks without fear of a bollocking. That doesn’t necessarily mean do stupid, reckless things without fear of a bollocking.
It’s obvious he has a lot to learn, same as any inexperienced manager. Читать дальше...

now we are probably the worst in the league.
I take it you haven't been to Rotherham away before?
In an effort to add balance to my thoughts about a lack of application and effort from some players, it's fair to assess Rooney's weaknesses / performance too.
If from day one he waltzed in and gave it the big "I am" that was a huge mistake.
Whist impressive on paper his coaching staff have never before worked as a " team ". Expecting them to gel immediately is another huge misjudgement. ( not Rooney's more Gary Cook's maybe ).
Effective man-management is vital. There's been little evidence of any ability in that area so far. Читать дальше...

Anybody care to guess what our next "winnable game" is in our current form ??

I can’t really see him succeeding at Blues for a variety of reasons, but - apart from wanting him to succeed for the good of the club - the abuse towards him makes me want him to succeed just that little bit more.
I’m struggling to see it, tbh, but it would be great if his success would shut his abusers up. Criticism? Fair enough. Abuse? That’s not right.
After next weeks games we could see the pressure ratchet up another few levels
Teams around us have winable games ( if there is any such thing in this division )
Dont think even the staunched blues fan is expecting anything from our next two games - injuries piling up and a team and management on the ropes
Resurgent QPR with their new manager play plymouth at home and then sheff wed away - could well draw level on 23 points
Huddersfield at home to preston... Читать дальше...

The fans are divided, and that won’t be bud anytime soon. One thing I think most will agree on is JE should’ve been given the season to gives us stability and a platform to build on. Hindsight’s a wonderful thing.
Blues fans seemed to have got very polarise, with its all the manager or all the players fault.
I think you can blame it on a combination of.
Unrealistic expectations placed on Rooney by the boards "world class" and no fear football" statements
The apparent need to change everything on the pitch now, when we were 6th
A manager with no real understanding of the players ability
A new system that seemed to suit no one in the team, and no one seemed to really understand it. Читать дальше...
What Rahm said 6 months ago
“Would my lifestyle change if I got $400 million? It would not change one bit. Truth be told, I could retire now with what I have made and live a very happy life and not play golf again. I play for the love of golf and I want to play against the best in the world. I’ve always been interested in history and legacy and right now, the PGA tour has that”
Whilst I can never criticise him for turning down £300 million, it’s just the bullshit that comes with it.
Very touching. I bet he would have liked that.

So, if you want to keep Rooney……
What is it about his Managerial CV or his 27 (and falling) win percentage that makes you feel that.
He might talk a good game, or repeat parrot fashion what Cook wants him to say, but as a Manager has achieved NOTHING.
Please give me some sort of hope that he will, despite never having done it before, be successful, and on what basis.
He’s never recruited a successful team nor has he managed one. What am l missing here, the Emperor has no clothes on.
Probably the drink talking but I’ve got a good feeling about the Leicester game.
Can anyone see where it’s coming from?
We don’t look like scoring
We don’t look capable of keeping a clean sheet
Our away record is awful and our next home game is against Leicester
That takes us to Stoke on Boxing Day which will be Rooneys 13th game in charge
