Re: Fir those of you who want Rooney gone...
Nailed on for Crystal Palace apparently.

We'll also get a better idea of their judgement of a player and what's needed.

I don't remember any highlights after the fireworks
Wayne Rooney saw his side eke out a 0-0 draw with Bristol City as a response to the defensive frailties Birmingham City have shown in recent games

So, it would seem that they're going to give him the window after all.
3 months ago if WR called you and said "come and play for me here, blah, blah" then pretty much anyone/everyone would (understandably) have jumped at the chance i guess, and signed on the dotted line
Now however they have a sample size to look at and I fear that many of those about to be contacted may well be less than keen to join this madhouse now
I guess were going to have to sit and suffer as this plays out... Читать дальше...
...and I'm on the fence, personally..
Who would/could realistically be next..
Cooper and Potter suggestions not allowed as it ain't gonna happen..
4 games in Jan
Leeds (A)
Swansea (H)
Stoke (A)
Middlesborough (H)
Once again like the last thread can't see a win in those games, Went 2 points on the last thread but got a feeling it will be 1 point from those 4 games, unfortunately.

It is becoming more obvious with every game under Rooney that this squad of players is at its best when we play with a number 10 behind a striker.
Miyoshi Behind stansfield (Has worked)
Stansfield behind Tyler Roberts (I’d like to see it)
Tyler Roberts behind Stansfield (I’d like to see it)
The 4 2 3 1 formation allows for this and in my opinion we aren’t setting ourselves up correctly for this squad.
Stansfield is easily the best striker at... Читать дальше...

...the context is that Fulham can recall him, but WR doesn't know the "exact small window" they have to do that. As he isn't the one that arranged the signing maybe he doesn't ????
“Ultimately, we have been in touch with Fulham. As far as we’re aware, he will be with us. Fulham have a window where they can pull him back. If that’s what they do then it’s out of our control.”
I heard the Tilton gave Rooney a round of f**ks when he was clapping them. Haven’t seen any videos posted on line. Anyone see it?
1) We are unable to play from the back to front in possession, so even after a few tippy tappies someone launches it
2) We must have the weakest aerial ability in our history up front to win the long ball so back it comes every time anyway.
3) The occasional effort to move the full backs forward and play it aerially to flick on doesn’t work as Ruddy rarely finds them or the opposition easily mark for it, and it gets the fullbacks out of position.
4) The squad have lost all self belief and unity... Читать дальше...
I’m not sure you would put any of them in charge of a big club either….
I don’t buy the size of the pitch being a problem tbh. Stoke and Bristol seemed alright passing us off the park on it.

We really were treated to the worst of the championship last night. Tripe.
Our pitch has been mentioned before and it’s improved quality wise with less bobbles but the size of it combined with the lack of quality on the ball makes the entertainment for us worse.
Last night there were 67 throw ins in our match. Average that at 15 seconds per throw in and that’s nearly 17 minutes with the ball not in play. Without any other stoppages.
Of that incredible number of throw ins Bristol... Читать дальше...
I wanted mushrooms on toast. I do enjoy some fried mushrooms and a slice of toast.
Not to be though. Mrs BlueNation reckons that you can only have that for lunch. I did point out that mushrooms are accepted as part of a full English, but to no avail……
So currently having a cup of tea whilst cooking omelettes. I’m having mushrooms in mine, that’s acceptable to Mrs BlueNation.

Seemed to argue quite a bit tonight. Pretty sure they had no idea what the game plan was, and tensions seemed raised.
Great!
