The NASCAR Foundation Appoints Four New Members to Board of Directors

ARCA Racing Series Preview: Pocono Raceway

The ARCA Racing Series (ARS) Presented by Menards will make its second and final stop of the season at Pocono Raceway located in Long Pond, Pa., on Friday, July 28, for the ModSpace 150. Joining MDM Motorsports will be 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Daytona race winner Kaz Grala. Sheldon Creed will look to continue his recent hot streak as he returns to the seat of the No. 12 United Rentals Davey Allison Throwback entry.

Kaz Grala and GMS Racing are proud to welcome ChargeCords.com on board for the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season. Making their first appearance on the No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado as an associate sponsor for the Overton’s 150 at Pocono Raceway this weekend, ChargeCords.com will also step up as the primary sponsor for the LTI Printing 200 at Michigan International Speedway next month. They will then return for additional races later in the year.

Chastain more than ready for Iowa return

Ross Chastain is ready to race again at Iowa Speedway, and understandably so. In the Xfinity Series’ last visit to Iowa, in June, Chastain had one of the best runs of his NASCAR career, finishing fourth.



Rhodes looking for Iowa rebound

Harrison Rhodes’ last race at Iowa Speedway was much shorter than he anticipated. An engine problem forced Rhodes to park near the race’s halfway point last month at Iowa. He finished 36th.

Smithley likes Iowa Track

One of the highlights of Garrett Smithley’s Xfinity Series season occurred last month at Iowa Speedway. The Georgia driver scored his second-best run of the season – a 10th – in the series’ first visit to Iowa this year.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Preview – Pocono

Pocono Preview: The Series returns to Pocono Raceway this Sunday for its second visit to the 2.5-mile Pennsylvania raceway this season. Hamlin is the winningest active driver at Pocono, notching four wins in 23 starts at the Tricky Triangle, two of which he scored back-to-back during his rookie season in 2006. Hamlin finished 12th after starting 18th for the 400-mile race at Pocono in June earlier this year.

Hot off a Top-15 finish in the Brickyard 400, Aric Almirola looks for a strong run at the famed "Tricky Triangle" after missing the first race at the track this season due to injury. Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr. filled in for the injured Almirola in the June race, where he started 16th and scored a 26th-place finish. The No. 43 Smithfield crew made strides in the car's handling and look to build off what they learned in June to bring Almirola a fast car this weekend.
