T-Mobile was well prepared for today’s iPhone reveal, as the carrier has already publicly announced trade-in deals for Apple’s latest smartphone refresh. The carrier says it’s giving $300 to any customer who trades in an iPhone 6 or newer in good condition for an iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or the iPhone X. For those interested in the latter, extra-costly device — which costs $999 for a 64GB model, or $1,150 for a 256GB model — a $300 credit should help ease the pain a little bit.

Slack today introduced shared channels, a way for companies to create ongoing joint chatrooms to do business together. The feature, which will be available to paid users of Slack, can now be accessed through an open beta program. If it succeeds, it could build a powerful network of companies that rival communication apps will struggle to displace.

This afternoon, a new group of astronauts is set to launch to the International Space Station, taking the place of three crew members who departed the orbiting lab earlier this month. NASA astronauts Mark Vande Hei and Joe Acaba, along with Russian cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, are scheduled to take off from Kazakhstan in a Russian Soyuz rocket at 5:17PM ET. About six hours after launch, they’ll rendezvous with the ISS, where they’ll stay for the next five months.

Today’s Apple launch event should take notes from Alibaba’s chairman and China’s richest man Jack Ma, who kicked off his company’s 18th anniversary with a dramatic Michael Jackson dance. Ma sat on a motorcycle onstage while wearing a mask and outfit that resembles Jackson’s outfit on his Dangerous World tour. He danced along to the opening notes of Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” and then got into a Beyoncé-esque “Formation” with his backup dancers. He performed for a crowd of about 40,000 employees.

But this time, indie studio Campo Santo took the unusual step of filing a copyright takedown against PewDiePie’s playthrough of its 2016 game Firewatch.

Today’s iPhone launch, coming a full decade after the release of the original iPhone, will feature a device quite similar to Apple’s first ever smartphone. The newest iPhone, whose name has already leaked out as iPhone X, will be like the original in that it will be higher in price than most people are used to paying for phones, it will be constrained in availability due to the difficulty of its manufacture, and it will serve as a status symbol for its owners. His verified Twitter account has liked a sexually explicit video on Twitter causing the two-minute porn clip to appear in his feed. It's unclear if Cruz liked the video himself, or if it was the late-night work of an aid that manages his social media presence.
