Re: Kyrie Irving: The term heel contusion is a bit vague as it can be used to describe multiple injuries including a bone contusion or a soft tissue contusion. The average time lost for nondescript heel contusions is 5.5 days (~2 games).

My understanding is the Mavs will issue a formal update soon about Kyrie Irving’s injury, but the general takeaway among the team as it landed in Memphis is one of relief. Mavs and Irving appear to have dodged a major injury scare. – 5:41 PM
