Hornets embattled star forward Miles Bridges has been denied entry into Canada for an NBA game over ongoing legal issues the starter is facing here in the Queen City, a league source confirmed with Charlotte Sports Live and Queen City News. The source said the franchise is working with appropriate channels to get him entry into the country to play Monday night’s contest against the Toronto Raptors.

League sources tell The Athletic that Detroit is expected to be active in trade discussions leading up to the February deadline. Over the next 10 months, specifically, the Pistons will be looking to upgrade their roster significantly. League sources tell The Athletic that the likes of OG Anunoby, Tobias Harris and other proven forwards are going to be targets for the Pistons between now and free agency this offseason.

However, sources tell The Athletic, that Collins isn’t someone Detroit is particularly interested in targeting. Obviously, things can change, but the power forward who has, reportedly, already overstayed his welcome in Salt Lake City isn’t a priority for the Pistons. Detroit does need forward depth and Collins’ ability to put the ball in the bucket as well as add vertical spacing would be good for the Pistons, but it appears his value continues to plummet a bit in the eyes of rival teams.

While I understand Washington’s appeal to others, he’s not someone I’ve heard that Detroit is interested in. Former NBA center DeMarcus Cousins has joined the T1 League’s Taiwan Beer Leopards, and is expected to make his on-court debut on Jan. 20, the Taoyuan-based team said Monday. The team announced the signing in a press release, calling the addition of the four-time NBA All-Star a major boost not only for the Taiwan Beer Leopards’ competitiveness but for Taiwanese basketball as a whole.
