Taj Gibson said he talked to both departing players Saturday morning and called it “gut-wrenching” to see them go. “It kind of sucked. I’ve been around them since they came in the league. This trade makes a lot of sense to me. For the time being, things will be messy. But adding a 23- and 24-year-old under club control to play next to Barnes makes a lot of sense. Quickley, in particular, is the type of guard who makes perfect sense long term with Barnes. – 12:42 PM
