City center Indian restaurants (30 replies)

Not being such a frequent visitor to Brum these days I've lost track of the best Indian restaurants in the city center. However, I'm up there for a business lunch in a couple months time and the people I'm meeting (who know feck all about Brum) expressed an interest going to one of it's fabled eateries!
I know back in the day I'd just head for the 'Balti Triangle' but that's not an option here. The main criteria is that it's within a 10 minute walk from New St station, and is authentic - given that one of my clients is Indian herself. Any appropriate recommendations appreciated. Ta.
