Since it’s now obligatory for us to concede one per game I thought we might as well have a thread about it.
I’ll start again by saying I don’t believe in moaning about refs, but........
If that tonight can be given as a pen we may as well give up.
That was an utter disgrace of a decision - I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse one.
Also.....compare that with the one that WASN’T given for us at Bristol.

I could not understand why Karanka didn't bring him on last night. Surely his aerial ability would've helped no end to counter Cardiff's considerable threat from corners?

I can see what Karanka is trying to do with this team but his lack of proactiveness when it comes to making subs drives me crackers.

Had my hair cut two weeks ago, well - you know, I just thought that it's been such a shit year I would start Christmas early.

We are having our Christmas party in the office today though.

Getting my Christmas haircut today and am going to pretend I am at Christmas parties getting smashed for the next week to get myself in the mood. Bought 3 bottles of advocaat to make Snowballs too.

I thought JCS was just about alright, allowing for the fact you don’t get a proper sense of the game on the telly.

Calamitous error for their first, looked knackered last 20 minutes or so and I wondered where he was when Wilson was making a chump out of Bela.

From a counterattacking point of view he was very good. There was a beautiful ball from our half to Leko quite early on, there was at least one humdinger of a cross and of course he was denied a penalty.

With a bit of a sprint he'd have caught Wilson. I thought he was better than Peds and Friend going forward though. Looked to pass it forward instead of sideways and backwards, got a couple of decent crosses in and should have had a penalty

Anyone got the stats on how many we concede and how many we are awarded ?

Gut feeling is for every one we're awarded we give 2 away ( or refs pull us up legitimately or not ).
Very little flow to the games which neutralises the threat from our better footballers.
Are we guilty of being too physical or too slow ( late ) or challenging with poor technique ?

Not good enough is he? When you see Halilovic come on and Sanchez scoring worldies you wonder where he plays his part. At min would rather have the 2 mentioned and Bela, Toral ahead of him in pecking order.

Remember when we played Villa at their place and we played really well in the first half and Sherwood said something along the lines of him instructing his players to play badly to draw us onto them?

Such a smug, arrogant, insufferable prat. One of my most disliked Villa managers at that takes some doing.

Went for it I suppose can't blame him when your defense switches off like that..would rather go for it and lose everytime frustrating though

6 points off relegation, 5 wins from 19 games. Doesn't seem like much progress to me.

Overall, by his standards, thought he had a fairly quiet game tonight. But that goal was something else. We’ll be talking about it for years to come. I never thought I’d ever see a goal of that quality again, in the second tier, from a Blues player.
