Do they have to fall within the ffp budget thingy?
I'd imagine Rooney alone will be on at least 5 times what Eustace was on then you've apparently got Cashley Cole coming in who won't be cheap.
Going to be an expensive move when you factor in paying off Eustace and his back room staff too.
Hope Cook has got this one right.

Gardner presumably thinks the players he has recruited are capable of more in an attacking sense than Eustace did. We will find out in due course I guess.

What does this mean, in footballing terms?
Play out from the back no matter what...
Attack, attack, attack....
Draw away not ambitious enough...
We will see of course. But if we only play one way in future does this make us easier to play against?

Not particularly sure we have the squad to play this swashbuckling football myself, keeper can’t use his feet that well, neither centre half is John Stones and we have two midfielders who hassle and harry make a few 3yd simple passes but do little else.

Because Panos was too cowardly to do it, thereby admitting he’d made a monumental error
How long until Cooke / Rooney are in the same boat?

…according to Rob Dorsett on Sky
He wants Birmingham to play a more attacking style of football.

Not seen any mention of what is happening to the back room team. Who would you keep get rid of if you had a choice ? I'd like to keep to Maik Taylor but the rest can go as far as i am concerned and definitely get in a new fitness team.
Also no mention of a caretaker manager which may mean they are all off anyway.
Gardiner.
Post on reddit here indicates that Rooney did a decent job. [www.reddit.com]
- Comments are positive about how his teams play
- Seems like DC had a rubbish squad that was never gonna compete
- He's a good man manager but quiet on the touchline
Only real negative I can see is that he signed players he'd played with before who were over the hill. We've already got a few lads from his time at derby.
I wish you’d stay retired ????
Personally responsible for the sacking of 2 Blues managers at a time when we were riding higher than we have done since 2012. I'm neither championing nor deriding him but it can't be denied that he seems to have some pull in the boardroom.
