Considering how we played on Boxing Day they needed all the effing practice they can get.

This time of year when games are thick and fast most teams don’t really train that hard, to prevent injuries.

Bit of conditioning and work on shape is the most they’ll do.
Crikey. Do we actually do that?
They are trying to do it. Apparently

Good afternoon all , I've got some friends from Canada coming to the match tomorrow and they are keen to try a balti before the game, and I thought the good people on here would know the best places in Brum. Thanks in advance

The attitude down the blues hasn't changed one bit.
I had a phone call to say I could move back to Mt original seat in the kop from the Leicester game, have a guess what still sitting in the paddock.

My uncle passed away in the summer (blues fan all his life), so I wanted to get his name on the big screen for the last game of the year. Like they do every year email the club in November, they replied we will send you a form to fill in.

They've spent 15 MILLION quid on infrastructure at the ground alone.

Lipstick on a pig. 15 is pocket change to Wagner and most of it will get written off anyway.
Exactly, but they've still spent it and took a very short amount of time fixing the ground.

There are more moans now than there have been for the past 10 years and it's mental.
It’s incredible how losing football matches regularly can stop people praising the big badge on the back of the kop. Читать дальше...

On 28 December 1963, I went to St Andrew's for the first time. Because you'll want to know, lost 4-1 to a mediocre Arsenal side in the old first division. A few days later, I went again. Lost at home, 2-1, to Port Vale from the fourth division in the FA Cup. I think you can say that a tone was set.

Any rough estimate tells me that even with other parts of my life preventing regular attendance between my 20s and 40s, I'm well past four figures for home games and you can stir a few hundred away trips too. Читать дальше...

A fine post from the author of ‘Hugging Strangers’, a wonderful memoir of the life and times of a Blues supporter through the years.

Must order a new copy today. The very well thumbed original has been on a continuing journey across the West Midlands, having been read and enjoyed not just by myself, other Blues fans, but Viler and Baggies alike.

Buses to from ground (4 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Request for advice. Taking my 84 year old mother to the Bristol game tomorrow night. Need to take buses from town to/from to St Andrews. Understand can take 17, 60, or 90 to the ground. Which one will get me closest to the ground. What is the situation after the game as I have often seen Coventry Road closed off. Where can I get a buses that will limit walking distances.
