Re: profit and sustainability (P&S) rules
Commercial bluenoseIt’s worrying for football but even more worrying for our club. The cost of players, managers and playing staff is only going to continue to go up. So to stay competitive and within the parameters FFP the club needs to increase its commercial income streams.
It’s not difficult to do and last season the club were on the right tracks with the and overall feel good factor around the club despite a 9 point deduction.
This season things seem to have become disjointed and I think Dong needs some help. I firmly believe this guy has the best interest of the club at heart and his energy is rightly going in to the playing side of things however the rest of the club needs to start working as hard as Dong.
The lack of commercial income is evident with the tinpot sponsors we have (Adidas aside but I bet there little or no money attached)
Ticket revenue must be down on the year despite the ill informed price increase and this in turn will be impacting on match day income (merchandise / Food, Drinks etc) but more importantly having a negative impact on the football. (Again evident last night)
A once leading football hospitality outfit is falling apart and will soon become unsustainable if you listen to the main stand box holders who don’t believe they get value for money anymore.
We are the second city club and we need to be proud of that. Silly things are having a big impact, the place is dirty, shit seat covers, dull atmosphere, lack of reason to go down. Poor merchandise, shit pies. All adds up!!
Win, lose or draw things need to change of the field and start moving in the right direction. Don’t know who this falls to but clearly Dong needs help to get this right.
You want come?
