Writer-director Genndy Tartakovsky promises the new season of Samurai Jack is the last one. His stylish animated series, about a feudal Japanese samurai stuck in a dystopian far future launched in 2001, and ran for four seasons on Cartoon Network. Sega just released a new chunk of gameplay footage from Sonic Mania, the upcoming Sonic game that looks to recapture the speedy hedgehog’s former days of glory. The new game is stylized like a long-lost Genesis title, but is built with HD, widescreen televisions in mind. The new videos show more of the updated take on the iconic Green Hill Zone.

Game streaming platform Twitch is getting a desktop app very soon. The new app is actually a rebrand of an old one; last year Twitch acquired standalone gaming chat app Curse, which will now be reintroduced as an official Twitch product.

Verizon is taking a page out of AT&T’s book by zero rating its Fios cable TV service for all Verizon Wireless customers. That means that if you purchase your mobile data plan from Verizon Wireless and your cable TV plan from Fios, you can now use the Fios Mobile app to stream live channels and on-demand shows and not have it count against your monthly data cap. (It should be noted that Verizon Wireless and Fios are separate subsidiaries, but both are owned by Verizon Communications.)

Since its inception, Amazon.com has only be available in English. But that’s now about to change: CNET reports that Amazon is adding a Spanish language option that should be appearing to customers in the near future.

Google has finally given a price and release date for the Jamboard, the 55-inch touchscreen display it wants businesses to buy and use as a hybrid whiteboard / conferencing system. That price is pretty high at $4,999 plus a $600 annual fee, but still much cheaper than Microsoft’s similar Surface Hub system. It’s designed for whiteboarding and teleconferencing, and it’s as good a system for doing anything else that I’ve tried.
