The NBA’s In-Season Tournament idea was met with mostly skepticism from the online basketball fan community, if not outright disregard, with many finding the idea pointless.

Robert Williams, who arrived as part of the Jrue Holiday trade with the Boston Celtics in September, had been a trade target of several teams that hoped the Blazers would consider moving him before the February trade deadline. Portland had been playing Williams along with Deandre Ayton, who arrived from Phoenix as part of the Damian Lillard trade.

Ben Simmons told Andscape in August that initially his relationship with Jacque Vaughn was “terrible,” as he was frustrated with the lack of familiarity and communication. Simmons believed that Vaughn was frustrated by his injury situation as well. “It was tough. I was also injured, so I was also dealing with my own stuff and he was in a position where it’s a lot of pressure to come in and be the head coach,” Simmons said. “You still got expectations to help his team win. So, then there was just a lot of uncertainty.”

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss said she didn’t date Dennis Rodman back in the day, but the pair did have an interesting relationship. During a recent appearance on “In Depth with Graham Bensinger,” Buss refuted Rodman’s recent claim that they dated while he played for the Lakers in 1999 — and explained why they appeared close at the time. “I did not date Dennis Rodman,” Buss said, to which Bensinger noted that the five-time NBA champion “came out and said that.”
