There aren’t many stars who can boast about besting Michael Jordan, widely regarded as the greatest of all time by most basketball fans. Though MJ gave everybody the business, a bunch of NBA luminaries managed to beat him more often than not during his early days with the weak Chicago Bulls roster in the mid-80s or when he donned the Washington Wizards jersey.

LaVine and his representation hold several preferred landing spots, such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers, league sources told Yahoo Sports, and each team has registered some level of interest in the Bulls guard. LaVine also has an eye on joining the San Antonio Spurs, sources said, in order to pair with rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama and reunite with head coach Gregg Popovich, who oversaw the 2020 Team USA outfit that LaVine helped win a gold medal in Tokyo.

Charles Barkley isn’t expected to leave TNT Sports anytime soon, but the network is admittedly eyeing replacements for whenever the popular Inside The NBA co-host retires from television. ‘We want him to be here, but we also want him to be happy and to live his life, and when he feels like he’s had enough, it’ll be time to move on,’ said Craig Barry, the Executive Vice President and Chief Content Officer for TNT Sports’ parent company, Warner Bros. Jaylen Brown and several other players on both teams were slipping and sliding on Toronto’s new tournament court for much of the evening. Brown ultimately left the game prematurely in the closing seconds of regulation after tweaking his groin after one final slip. The Lakers have won four of their last five games, including all three of their tournament games. “I think it’s an incentive for sure. Early in the season, when you are playing the in-season tournament, so we understand what’s at stake,” James said. “It’s not something we’re putting all our eggs in one basket in the in-season tournament. But we know when the games come, every Tuesday and Friday, we know what it’s about, we know what’s at stake. So, it’s been good for us so far.”
