Sixers big man Paul Reed, who figures to get a look at Anthony Davis when he does get on the floor to back up Joel Embiid, discussed the keys to defending Davis on the floor. He went right to Davis’ penchant for selling calls at times on the floor. “He’s a big flopper so make sure I don’t get in foul trouble early by any—I can’t be too aggressive with him,” said Reed at shootaround on Monday. “He’s gonna be flailing so I gotta make sure I stay out of foul trouble.”

The Memphis Grizzlies are currently 3-13, second to last in the West. Much of that has to do with the multitude of injuries on the team and Ja Morant‘s 25-game suspension.

“Yeah, he’s tall,” said Michael Porter Jr., the Nuggets’ 6-foot-10 sharpshooter who looked like an undersized guard when matched up against Wembanyama early in the game. “He is 19 years old. He is not getting scared of getting tired. He’s playing hard,” Nikola Jokic said. “… He doesn’t take it for granted. He’s making mistakes, which is normal. I think the media around him doesn’t help him, but he’s gonna get used to it. He’s gonna change the game, 100%. And he’s already on that path.”
