What I received was a lesson about NBA hygiene that, if the accusations are true, could make Robinson the Mike Fiers of the NBA. “It’s got dirt and bacteria,” he said. “People here don’t wash their hands. There’s a few people in this league that wash their hands. A few of them. But I can. I do. I wash my hands.”

The saga began a few weeks ago with a gaggle of reporters standing around a 7-footer who is incendiary for the sake of it, Mitchell Robinson. In anticipation of the flamboyant In-Season Tournament court at Madison Square Garden, I asked Robinson for his thoughts on the bright orange hardwood. While the Knicks were linked to Timberwolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns earlier in the season, there are several factors that make a trade difficult at this time and potentially through the trade deadline. First, Minnesota is rolling as one of the top teams in the West and doesn’t want to break up a good thing. Second, while Quickley has fans in Minnesota’s front office, the same cannot be said for Julius Randle, league sources told HoopsHype.
