Re: European Cup Final 1985
Not an 'easy target' though, is it? It's the right target. As you've said above, '14 people were charged, tried and convicted of involuntary manslaughter. Sounds like justice was served, no?'

All clubs had a hooligan element around this time, give them half a chance for aggro & they will take it.
A simple line of police at the flimsy fence between the fans would have prevented any issues escalating, a khazi of a stadium.
Quite clearly authorities approached this game in cloud cuckoo land.

I thought it worked really well in the England game but I heard it wasn't so good yesterday. I think it will depend on how good the referees are in
using it and when to use it. Hearing the discussions like in cricket and rugby would be a good thing so you can hear the reasoning behind any decision.

That's nice of you Newbs cheers. I never go on the road anymore after a good friend of mine was splattered to death across one by a driver who didn't stop.
A pleasant easy ride along the river suits me
Ignoring the usual rubbish that gets trotted out by people who still think road tax exists and don't know the highway code in terms of lane positioning, glad you had a nice cycle Bat.
