I think Hendrix reversed the strings to keep bass at the top.
I did once play in a band with a leftie who just turned the guitar upside down and played with bass strings at the bottom which of course means inverting the chord shapes. Never seen it done before at close quarters; the most awkward looking thing you could imagine.

I have worked all over the city and many of the slums have been rebuilt with nice housing (that won't stay that way) from Kingstanding, Nechells, Lozells across to Garrets Green, Northfield etc. It's easierbto pick out the few nice places from amogst the sea of shite which makes up most of our happy abode.
