Was at that game and yes we were demolished in the replay by Greaves and co. Quite a few capacity crowds in that era. Remember my mum not letting my dad take me to Man U at home for some reason, 2-2 draw. Also remember being locked out for a night game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Yes the drawn game at sheff wed it was epic game, can someone check please I think the late Dennis Thwaites ( killed by terrorist on the beach in Tunisia?)played in both those games and possibly scored... Читать дальше...

Attendance no longer matters. Not really. Television money, owner money and sponsorships much more important. Attendance gets a 20,000 crowd club about £10m a season. Club size is now about reach, not fans in the ground.

Controversial but I'd say Zigic in for Che. Last season Che was amazing but he was hit and miss for the two seasons before. Zigic, whilst never profilic, was probably our most important striker in recent times. Quarters, semi, and final, he won us every game. His goal at Bolton, too, helped keep us up.
