Whenever I speak to my counterparts the conversations return to the same topic: the

He seems like a truly nice bloke, well adjusted, and I’m sure has dealt with, and continues to deal with a fair amount of stress. I really want him to do well at blues, and I think next season he’ll get the chance to prove himself without all the surrounding drama and bad feelings of this season.

What's the latest on this? Has anyone covered it in the media?

Peter Bonetti

Gone as well ! Felt a bit sorry for him that he was blamed for losing us the game in 1970 when in reality it was Sir Alf that cocked it up

Ricky Otto

My pal tagged me on something on the Facebook saying put Songs of Praise on, curious, I did, and lo and behold Ricky Otto is on there at the ground talking Blues, his troubled past and his new life as a pastor.

Fair play to him. I’ll always remember his debut, sat in the old railway about 10 with my Grandad Mick, the coldest I’d ever been! Boxing Day 1994 against Cambridge, Otto scores at both ends.

Finding people’s reaction to drones quite funny and annoying... I find it hilarious that people think they’re an invasion of privacy, let’s be honest, the person using the drone is probably taking a photo of the scenery while there’s a lack of cars and people out and about rather than Bob Smith sunbathing in his Speedos. Anyone remember First Band ? (no replies)

Small Heath Alliance

Whilst we've time to delve back on things, I remember around the turn of the 80's going down Digbeth - possibly to the Railway Inn (??) - to see and enjoy band called the First Band a few times. Think they supported Steve Gibbons there once. Had a really tasty guitarist.

Anyone else remember them...and whatever happened to?
