I've read quite a few books around 1914-1945 and the Spanish Flu has ever only been a footnote, of if not certainly not dealt with in much detail. Always a line "Oh and by the way this deadly virus came along in 1918 and killed more people than WWI casualties."
Also I'd be really interested to know how the world began to go about its business in 1921 onwards as the virus subsided. Can't see to find much out about that.

Lockdown is eased in Early May, pubs and shops open again on 11 May. Football is starting again on 23 May. Our first game is Albion away and we play Hull on Bank Holiday Monday 25th at home . Both 3pm kick-off. Social distancing guidelines have been dropped from keep 2m at all times to spread risk is low but possible.
Football authorities say attending matches is allowed at the individuals own risk.

Sacked last night, not the first time and probably not the last time either, I think I can rack up around 5 sackings during my time, but I'm sure a few can beat that.
When you join a shift that a runs a 'clique' you quickly realize that things could be difficult, add into that a 'Wolf in Sheep's clothing' who reports segments of a conversation to management, and in true Sun style, adds a few bits in to make it sound more sensational.

What were they all about then? I first started going down the Blues in the mid-seventies and I don't recall ever seeing or hearing one at the match.
An old guy I used to work with years ago gave me his and I've kept it until this day. It looks homemade, was the rattle a marketed item or did people just make their own? What years were they seen down the match and most importantly; how flippin' annoying were they?
