Re: Oxford v Pompey
Pep"s magic?
Pep"s magic?
Been a decent game and looks like heading to pens with less than 5 mins of ET left
With the manager situation unresolved everyone is now pointing to Dong and saying he is doing a rubbish job but is he ?
One thing we and not even El Major knows is what is the brief he has been given by his employers. It is only by knowing that do we know if he is doing a good job. If you take Tesco for example over lockdown they put their prices up and have just asked suppliers for a 10% cut to prices, therefore cost conscious shoppers and those suppliers would argue the boss is crap etc etc . Do we have to?
Blues manager win percentages since we were relegated from the Prem:
Chris Hughton 41.9%
Gary Rowett 39.6%
Garry Monk 32.2%
Harry Redknapp 30.8%
Lee Clark 28.4%
Pep Clotet 28.3%
Steve Cotterill 25.9%
Gianfranco Zola 8.3%
Makes pretty depressing reading. I don’t think anyone will ever emulate Zola’s record. Pep needs 1 more win in his last 5 games or else he’ll fall behind Cotterill in the hall of... Читать дальше...

Have to disagree with some of your points :
1. Why would he walk away from a financial settlement twice ? If he decided to do it once, then very easy to do again unless the compensation is vert lucrative.
2. The lack of a new manager as has already been suggested is probably that compensation due to them being in a job could be due and why pay it if you can get for free in a few weeks. If this is the case then the new manager will be working on player targets and already advising the board on who to release etc. Читать дальше...
Morrigonna
A late Josh Onomah winner ensured that Blues horrendous run without a win continued at Craven Cottage on Saturday. With teams around Blues continuing to pick up points the pressure is starting to stack up and the vitriol towards Pep Clotet is getting louder.

I love watching them get beaten, too. The problem is they’ve got their nose in the (£) trough, and I want their nose out of the trough. There’s no guarantee they’ll get back up anytime soon if they come down. The Championship isn’t a walk in the park. They’ve spunked £140,000,000 and are odds on to loose their ‘best’ assets. Relegation could really screw they up.
Get them relegated and roll the dice.

The Doors were brilliant, but this really is a simple question .....
The Eagles.
2nd only to the Beatles.
Check out their lyrics. E.g. “City girls, seem to find out early, how to open doors with just a smile...” ‘ Lyin Eyes’ is a literary masterpiece. As is ‘Hotel California’.
Hmmm struggling if I'm honest maybe he might take a bit of bedding in...
