Much as I hate the Americanisation of football, there is one colonial idea that I like - and that's the one of 'retiring' shirt numbers after that shirt has been worn by someone who has made a lasting impression on the club. Even more so now players have 'their' number rather than just 1-11.

First time poster here long time reader
Whoever the new manager is they've got 3 main tasks
1. Recover the confidence of the players who stay with us. I think their confidence is shot rather than their motivation.
2. Sign players obviously to improve us, don't have to spend a fortune to do this IMO we may not have much to spend anyway.
3. Decide on a style of play that the team is comfortable with and stick with it.
