League 1 play off (19 replies)
Weird seeing these games at Wembley.
With no crowd noise option, the echo it even more feels like a training game.
Yet this is for promotion for the Championship

Can you imagine how the likes of Posh & Sunlan are feeling whom finished on the same points as Wycombe & were more than happy to carry on when Wycombe were a little retisent - Pythagoras deemed that Wycombe finished third on 59 points & the rest is now history .....
'I don’t believe they are using the club to launder money is what I said'
Aah fair enough, I see the difference now.
Crap ay it
Hi Everyone,
Some of you might know that I am heavily involved with running a Grassroots Childrens Football Club in Erdington, Holly Lane United.
When Covid-19 hit in March we took the tough decision, but the right decision, to immediately stop subs as a large number of our players parents were furloughed and clearly it's not right to take subs whilst we couldn't even train.
At that point I don't think many would have predicted just how long Grassroots football would... Читать дальше...
Always rejected the idea of becoming a better footballing side?
Rumours at the start of the season that Dean and Jutkeiwicz held team meetings to go against what *Clotet wanted from them are probably backed up by Dean’s interview yesterday (“We need to go back to basics and get stuck in”).
Is it because if we were to transition into a better and more comfortable passing team then the likes of Dean and Juke would realistically be the among the first to lose their place over time? Читать дальше...

I don't think anyone is against better football.
I'm sceptical of attempting to slide Juke in to outpace the last defender and walk it round the goalkeeper as Plan A.
If we want a beautiful passing team that is great when we have the players to do it.
When I look at our passing going forward it is often poor. We rarely play nicely weighted passes into the path of a player on the run. Usually it's behind him, smashed at his feet so he has... Читать дальше...
Wanted to check before posting, is there any issues with posting a Go Fund Me link for the children's football club I help run? We've lost £16k in subs and fundraising events due to the suspension of grassroots football so we are appealing to the wider footballing community for any donations from £1 to anything!!
If its not appropriate, not an issue.
Thank You
Paul

I mean I will watch it, because I'm a world class mark, but right now I'd rather scratch my undercarriage with a cheese grater.

I remember when this used to get played before every game, used to put hairs on the back of your neck. I’d have everyone of them sit an watch this an make them realise how big this club really is. We used to be a team feared by everyone, scrappy, in your face and leave everything on that pitch. Time for them to stop moping an feeling sorry for themselves and start realising what a privilege it is to play for this club.
Rant over????
Keep right on mate

For the last few weeks, I've been uploading videos to YouTube talking about things people should know regarding the ownership of Birmingham City FC.

After being given a great chance to properly secure their place in the Championship next season through other teams not picking up points, Blues threw it all away with another dismal display on Sunday. Despite a tinkering with the formation and the recall from furlough of Steve Spooner, Blues looked

But they are interested in how the team play, and they aren't going anywhere, so we have to suck it up and get on with it.
Like I say, we are a club at loggerheads. I just hope one side actually win this time or else we will be here, once again next Season.
We could do with a good set of results on Tuesday
Reading v Middlesbrough
Wigan v Hull
Luton v QPR
Sheff Wed v Huddersfield
Wins for Reading and QPR would help and then the other 2 games open for discussion with both Wigan and Sheff W looking at points deduction.
For me a perfect night would be wins for Reading, Wigan, QPR, Sheff wed
Barnsley go to Leeds on Thursday

If we somehow manage to get the points we need against Charlton (who also cant score) then I will relax a bit more but until then I am looking for as many favours as we can get .
We could do with another Paul Moulden moment on Wednesday.
Super Hans
He wouldn't get a job anywhere else in the Championship. No thanks.

It’s probably been said earlier in the thread, but I don’t think anyone worth their salt will come without a guarantee that Dong etc stay away from the training pitch. If they agree to the interference I’m not sure I want them. I’m sure Steve Spooner is a lovely bloke, but I’d like to know who turned them down before they got to him.
Also, is it normal for academy staff etc to still be on furlough or are we breaking the mould here as well? This must mean that the academy kids, upto U23s... Читать дальше...
Haven't heard any mention of Darren Moore as a possible manager. He is from Handsworth so may be a Villa fan, I dont know. He did a good job with the baggies, worth a shout? He's currently with Doncaster.
