Is it time for it to be normal for managers to be on rolling 3 month contracts? I am sure it would up their motivation as its too easy for them to sit back and give it the "three year plan" shoite

lots of clubs go through bad periods that dont reflect their true position and with no security, a jumpy ceo could give them the boot.
Short-termism, the manager will plan for that 3 months and not develop the squad, then on to the next 3 months - youth will get fewer opportunities
