Re: Still like to hear a new word & have to look it up
Simon Inglis uses it a lot in his books on football stadia.

Just heard the word vomitories on the Coventry match commentary. Never read or heard it used before
Any update on Dean, Hogan, Gardner and Gordon and when they may all return?
Can’t stand Roberts at the back is a heart attack waiting to happen. Looked much more solid and cohesive with Dean there, which is saying a lot.
Found the whole Gordon situ this season odd. Hardly any mention of him.

Right the site has shut down early due to a burst water main and I need cheering up after reading the Terry Hall Post.
What little food tips that make all the difference can we share. I don't mean any Jamie Oliver stick a Ford cortina up a turkeys arse cobblers, just everyday tips for the common man, and lady.
Mine.

Heathen, i've bought some 50 month aged stuff for Christmas night.
Going to come over all Zlammer and try to get away from the misery fest of how disappointing our past has been, to celebrate that now and then the opposite happens. Not necessarily the ‘best’ players we’ve had but those that entertained in one way or nothing and gave lots of value for the club.
Bob Hatton from back then, someone like Steve Claridge who just never stopped trying (and succeeding often enough), and then of course gems like Steve Carr and King Kenny Cunningham…
Michael Johnson was a Magic signing

The clever people might advise of the significance, if there is any, but usually done (apparently) to protect against sliding share price.
My Blue Heaven
He only wants shares. Not the club
I'm steadily ploughing my way through my list filched from t'internet of the (33) greatest works of French literature, some of which have been a wonderful revelation and some of which have proved to be difficult, tedious and generally crap.
Thanks to the TV I've now also got a list of the (25) books that the French have most enjoyed reading in 2022. Needless to say there's not a lot of crossover between the two lists but there's some interesting stuff I will have a go at eventually. ... Читать дальше...
Congrats - easily the best Xmas gift you'll ever receive.

Desperately sad ????
The Specials. Terry. This is what happened.
We had it all planned out. Make the album we were going to do in 2020 – a reggae album.
Record in Los Angeles in November. We had the studio booked, flights paid for, accommodation sorted. Roger Rivas from The Agrolites was going to co-produce. Shepard Fairey was going to do the cover. Lynval, still recovering from his spinal surgery earlier in the year, was over in the UK and raring to go. Читать дальше...
Am I insane, or is 50/1 with skybet for top scorer ridiculous?
Paying 4 places e/w. That’s terrific value.
1 off the lead at Christmas. Doubt he’ll actually get it, but looking at probability against odds…

Probably David Dunn for me. Thought he was a tremendous signing at just 24 and looking a top top player who could only get better.
50 odd games half a dozen goals in three and a half years. You could always see the quality and there were snippets of brilliance. But the mixture of injuries and attitude meant it just didn’t happen.
Could have been in our all time greats team.
Neil Whatmore. Scored for fun at Bolton with Frank Worthington. Rubbish for us. Lost a lot of cash.
The other smelly thread (good luck with your search PD) reminded me - which are more ludicrous nowadays? Flamy car ads that are supposed to excite our emotions, or the really weird ones flogging scent? The scent ones are baffling and annoying in equal measure for me.
Good question.
Pass ????
Looking for a bit of advice, hoping to go and watch a dormund game early next year, and i know a couple of people on here have done the trip.
Questions I have are
- what’s the best way to get there from Birmingham
- is there much to do in Dortmund or is best to stay somewhere else and travel in.
Any advice appreciated
If I was looking for cool points then I’m so far in the red it’d be a futile use of time..
